A date for your diaries - the 2015-2016 end of season presentations will be held on Saturday 11th June 2016 and Sunday 12th June 2016.

If you are reading this - then its live (or you have a secret behind the scenes tour)!!

Stevenage Boro Juniors Football Club are delighted to advise that we have enterted into a long term partnership with Barnwell School which will see us playing our home matches at both the Barnwell Middle and Barnwell Upper School Campuses from the start of the forthcoming 2015/16 season. And this is just the start so keep watching!

In a statement release today Tony Fitzpatrick (headteacher) said:

"Barnwell School is committed to working with the community and local clubs to support sport, leisure and recreational activities in the area, and we have provided our facilities to local groups over many years. We hope this will be the start of a long and successful relationship with Stevenage Borough Juniors FC, and we look forward to welcoming all teams to Barnwell School, and wish them well for the forthcoming season".

On behalf of all clubs, all age group, girls and boys youth teams, we have set up a new closed Facebook Group for anyone who wants to arrange a friendly match.

The principle is simple; every time you would like to organise a friendly, you post your request with team details etc on the facebook group page and all those in the group will see the opportunity - far easier than current. This will increase the chances of us all getting a friendly arranged when we want it and of course get friendlies against teams we would not normally play. This will only of course help and work if we have as many teams represented on the group as possible; so please spread the word.

It is for all ages and all teams (we already have over 170 teams represented); so please forward these details to as many other teams as you can in all surrounding leagues.

The group is closed so only those approved as members will see posts; it is for managers, coaches or your admin members - someone in your team who has facebook.

MY WEEKEND! - 30th & 31st May 2015  - By Dean Stevenson

I didn't think I could top my Saturday, watching our Under 8's take on 18 teams from Herts Beds & Essex & come out as winners! But my Sunday was as good as it gets, these Under 7's us are something else! What a weekend...

The Under 7 boys were faultless yesterday, they found a way to win every game & that shows great character. It goes without saying these are good footballers but we saw other little qualities yesterday, qualities that you need to be a very good footballer. Those extra little qualities like mental strength, desire, willingness to learn & listen & quite remarkably for their age, they showed all of those qualities in abundance added to the handling of pressure. Myself & Terry told these boys there was a trophy up for grabs & they thrived on that little bit of pressure as well as the pressure of a cup final penalty shootout. Incredible! We took our boys out of their comfort zone & travelled a little yesterday to see if they are capable of beating strong teams from other areas. It's easy to get carried away when you are thrashing all teams locally.

All the teams were Harlow based but are some of the strongest teams in Harlow which is a thriving area for young footballers, Tottenham, West Ham, Arsenal & Brentford are all in the area in a big way & were all present yesterday. Newhall Rangers who we beat 1-0 in the group stage & again in the final have 4 players in Spurs' elite squad. We just rocked up in their manor, won all 7 games conceding just 2 goals & scoring 15. We left with lovely looking individual winners trophies & the sweetest looking cup. Yeah boys!

The tournament organisers praised our players as young footballers & the way we played as did many coaches but the organisers praised our boys behaviour, sportsmanship & maturity too. We played in the right manner with a smile on our faces & enjoyed the day. The truth is lots of teams had some good players yesterday, some teams 2 or 3 really good players but we have 7 really good players.

The last 3 weekends alone has seen the Under 7's play 15 matches, 4 of those matches against teams a year older. We have won every single game although we needed a penalty shootout in today's finale! 15 wins from 15 is some achievement. The two trophies we have won in the last fortnight is the reward these excellent little players deserve for what's been a long season. All the boys seem to get on so well too & young Alfie has fitted straight into the team & looks like he's been with us forever which is a credit to him & all the boys. They are a great group of boys, I know Terry will agree that they are not only a joy to coach but also great fun to be around.

I want to say thank you to every parent for your encouragement & time today & all season. We couldn't do it without your support & commitment. I also want to thank Terry massively. He has worked so hard with these players all season & he himself deserved that today. He is great to work alongside & we have a great rapport, he is the SILVER FOX!! Coaching young footballers to develop & progress is so enjoyable but coaching very good players & seeing them develop & progress so quickly, winning trophies & awards along the way as a kind of reward is such a buzz. I absolutely love it.

Reading this back I am sorry to have gone on but I have been doing this a long time & winners trophies are hard to come by, especially in mini soccer. I am so proud I could follow this email with a 2 page match report on every one of our 7 games yesterday!!! And it's not often you see a group of players this good. This little mob are quality & once we get them in at Stevenage Fc academy in the coming weeks they will have the wonderful opportunity of training together twice a week & meeting up for a 3rd time on matchday every Saturday.

Thanks again to you all for your support & time throughout the season.

Stevenage Borough Adders U10's this weekend lifted the Presidents Cup trophy in their first year of the competion played at the impressive Valley facilities. Coming from a goal down at half time, they eventually overcame a very strong Biggleswade United side to win 5-1.

Pharrell scored a hat-trick with both their captain Taylor and substitute Alex scoring one each. Manager Jay Mitchell stated how proud he was of the whole team and thanked all the parents for their support.
